  2. Hi Joey! Biggest fan here 🙂 I love having someone to share my interest in the President’s with. Comments on season 17 Andrew Johnson’s Birthplace. I recently was able to visit Mordecai, with my main goal being to see Andrew Johnson’s Birth home. I was able to go inside, woo hoo! Such a thrill. While there, I also toured the Mordecai House, and learned about it’s interesting history. I had been pronouncing it traditionally as you did on your podcast episode, and learned from my tourguide, that this particular House was pronounced Morde-KEY. Who knew. Apparently the owner had a falling out with his parents, and wanted to distinguish himself from his family, and so changed the pronunciation of his name. Just a fun fact! 🙂
